From the planning stages all the way to the booking and actual trip, this site, John the Voyager, is your go-to for personalized expertise as well as industry best available rates and Virtuoso exclusive perks. I provide valuable insights, navigate complex itineraries, and offer trip support, with special expertise on Alaska and Morocco, events and group planning.
Travel is exhilarating and good for the soul, but can also be daunting and the research exhausting. Having things not go your way when in a foreign country can have some pretty extreme consequences, so it's a smart move to plan well ahead and minimize the WTFs so you can squeeze every last juicy drop out of your journey.
My primary role as a Travel Advisor is actually two-fold: To take the weight of planning and researching off your shoulders, and to bring the experience of the entire company to the table, not just my own (as considerable as it may be). I have at my disposal hundreds of peoples' expertise, thousands of hotels and cruises we have partnered with, and leveraging the company gets me access to preferred partner perks, great rates, and VIP and room upgrades (on both hotels and cruises) that become yours.
Some could argue that they can find amazing rates through third party sites, and they can be great (Lord knows I've used them a bunch of times). But what if the place is overbooked during a busy time? Did you know that those not booked directly through the hotel or its partners are first on the chopping block? Or let's say you get a great deal on a room. But it's a 45 minute drive from the city center, requiring two buses, and the last one stops running at 8 pm. Wouldn't you rather be in the middle of the action, with an upgraded room tagged on, with breakfast included and maybe even some hotel credit to use in their in-house cocktail lounge?
I am an agent affiliated with Fora Travel (so you get all the Virtuoso benefits). I also have intimate knowledge of destinations like Alaska, Morocco, South Spain, and Indonesia, from cruises, food and wine, to adventure trips, and cultural knowledge that will help you maneuver more easily.
You've made it this far. You're ready to make the leap. Reach out and let's plan the ultimate journey. I've made it easy, just click the "contract me" button or fill out the contact for am the bottom of any of the pages on this site, and we can get the ball rolling.
Did you know that most stores in Munich, Germany close at 8 pm on Friday, and don't reopen until Monday morning? If you find yourself in Munich, and let's say, oh, the airline lost your luggage, be sure to get to some clothes first before hitting all the Beer Gardens, or you might end up wearing lederhosens all weekend. Don't ask me how I know... But I can save you this type of fate. One of the joys of being me.
From lessening your chances of a heart attack to boosting your creativity, Traveling can do wonders in enhancing your mental and physical health. Read the full article here.
By the way, I can attest to this, and it's actually one of the things I recommend most to people; whether they feel like they're just spinning their wheels, or are even trying to get away from something, travel gives perspective and a whole different frame of mind and focus. It's harder to dwell on a break-ups or job frustrations when you're navigating a foreign menu, and your senses are being overcome with incredible aromas and views. Travel also gives reminds you that there is so much going on in the world, so many people and so many stories, that maybe what seemed monumental before... was just another short and unimportant footnote in the glorious narrative that is your life. So, take charge of your story and write it the way you want to. Ride a horse on an endless beach in North Africa. Toast a glass of chilled champagne with a stranger on a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean sunset. And fall in love with your tale over and over again.
Adventure like no other awaits you in the Last Frontier!
